Ireland finished the 2021 Guinness Six Nations on a high with three consecutive victories over Italy, Scotland, and England respectively. The tournament was a strange one in terms of results, with each team being beaten at least once and numerous games that could have gone either way. What the tournament billed at ‘Super Saturday’ certainly lived up to its name as Scotland played stunning rugby to thrash Italy; Ireland had an iconic victory against a much fancied English side; and Wales came within seconds of a Grand Slam, only for French Flair to produce a length of the field try in extra-time to win the game.
