The 2023 Rugby World Cup in France is the most anticipated tournament in rugby history as so many nations are in the hunt to lift the trophy. Ireland, currently ranked the number 1 side in World Rugby, welcome Italy and England to the Aviva Stadium in August for the Bank of Ireland Nations Series game, their final preparations ahead of the tournament.
England arrive to Dublin on Saturday, 19th August which will be a phenomenal battle between two of the best teams in the Northern Hemisphere. Andy Farrell will be keen to gain momentum going into the Rugby World Cup so we can expect a very strong Irish side who will be desperate to get a win against their neighbours. With Ireland facing South Africa and Scotland in their RWC Pool the following month, this is the ideal test match to prepare the squad. This English side are incredibly strong though, and they generally have a knack for peaking at World Cup time, so you can expect a brilliant game.
This is the last chance to see Ireland play before the Rugby World Cup, and probably the last chance before some key members of the team retire so we expect a complete sell out.
