The IRFU 150th Anniversary Season is a hugely significant milestone in the history of Irish Rugby. The IRFU will be running a number of events throughout the 2024 / 25 season which brings together past and present rugby communities, across all four provinces, to celebrate the sport’s standing at local and national levels.
As part of the celebrations, the IRFU will host a 150th Gala Dinner on Friday, 29th November 2024 in the RDS which will raise funds to support the 150th Anniversary programme together with the IRFU Charitable Trust. The theme of this dinner is to celebrate all that rugby has achieved in Ireland over the past 150 years and a core part of that is Grand Slam success on the field. We are delighted to confirm Brian O’Driscoll (2009), Fiona Coghlan (2013), Rory Best (2018), and Johnny Sexton (2023), our four living Grand Slam Winning Captains, will all be speaking on the night.
